Discovery Channel is all about science and being on the cutting edge of what’s next. So, we’re pretty excited that they featured us in a recent segment on on-demand health and the future of wearable tech.
The segment
Nicole Stout, DPT, CLT-LANA, Vice President of Medical Affairs at Zansors, talked about the future of wearable tech.
Wearable technology in health is going to change the way we deliver care. Soon, doctors will be able to know how patients are doing even between visits.
Of course, these tools are only powerful if they undergo the rigorous evaluation you’d expect in any clinical study. That’s why we partner with academic institutions to test our tools against the current clinical gold-standard.

Of course, not everything makes the cut for a short segment. We could go on forever about the importance of developing clinically valid devices that change patients’ lives. Right now, Zansors is working on building sensors and apps that are medical-grade. That includes monitoring for sleep apnea, as shown in the segment, but also capturing a variety of bio-signals that will include everything from sensing sweat to monitoring heart rate, breathing and more.
